This gay-exclusive holiday base for men serves up everything you need for a great break. Offering up a full programme of party nights, this guys-only complex is perfect if you're ready to have a good time. But there's a really laidback, friendly vibe, too, so you'll get plenty of opportunities to chill out.

As for the accommodation itself, you'll find 12 self-contained bungalows dotted around the pool. They've all been recently renovated so expect trendy spaces dressed in warm neutrals. They're pretty cosy, but separate bedrooms, kitchens and living areas create an airy feel. Plus, they all come with mini manicured lawns and poolside terraces – so you're never more than a stride from the water.

Talking of the pool, it's a classic rectangular number framed by a wide sun terrace. But the star feature has to be the hot tub. Overlooking the pool, it's a great place to chill out or socialise. There's a poolside bar, too, serving up everything from coffees to cocktails throughout the day. And because nudity is allowed throughout the whole complex, you won't have to worry about any tan lines.

On the location front, the Freedom Bungalows are just a ten-minute walk from the famous Maspalomas sand dunes and the well-known gay beach – easy to spot thanks to its rainbow flags and the high concentration of bronzed chests on display. The Yumbo Centre – Gran Canaria's famous shopping district and the heart of its gay scene - is within strolling distance, too. So you've got all the bars, restaurants and nightclubs you could wish for on your doorstep – Hummel Hummel, Mykonos, and Wunderbar are particularly popular spots.
