 If you're looking for great value for money combined with easy access to the Yumbo, and all in accommodation that's been tried and tested by bucket loads of gay customers for more years than we care to remember, then the Iguazu has to be worthy of your consideration.
About 15 minutes' walk from the beach, the Iguazu is made up of three separate five storey blocks, all of which offer a convenient choice of one and two bedroom apartments. Perfect, then, for singles, couples and groups of friends who are looking for a clean and comfortable base at the white hot core of Playa del Ingles.
With their winning combination of affordability and location, the Iguazu apartments are almost right on the Yumbo's doorstep and about 15 minutes' walk from the beach. Well maintained and, although mixed, extremely gay friendly, all the resort's amenities are within very easy reach, while the option of one or two bedroom apartments makes the Iguazu suitable for singles, couples and groups of pals looking for a decent enough, inexpensive base. What's more, they're in pretty good nick at the moment as they were refurbished during May and June 2005.
General Facilities
Two large swimming pools dominate the Iguazu's well kept, landscaped gardens, with more than ample room to stretch out on a complimentary sunlounger, soak up some rays and contemplate the night to come. Every block has a couple of lifts, so if you've had one too many port and lemons you don't have to do the stair thing, and there's also a 24 hour reception service. If you're the sorta guy who likes to travel with technology the Iguaza also offers free wifi access, payable locally, so you can keep up to date with all your flood of Gaydar messages.
Room facilities
Versatility is the key to the Iguazu, and a choice of one and two bedroom apartments means that anyone from singles up to groups of five can all be accommodated in one apartment. Every apartment has either one or two twin bedrooms (no doubles...hey ho) and a living room with a sofabed for a third or fifth person. There's a private bath or shower room and every apartment has a kitchenette with a couple of cooking rings and a fridge. Your own balcony completes this picture of your basic but well looked after and wonderfully convenient holiday home.
Maid service takes place three times a week. Bedlinen is changed once a week and you'll receive new towels twice a week. And please don't forget to rent a safety deposit box.
