 Part of the Gay2stay.eu Gran Canaria portfolio, the gay-friendly Valparaiso occupy one of the most enviable locations in Playa del Ingles, just a couple of minutes' walk from the beach at Playa del Ingles and five or so minutes from the tempting attractions of the Yumbo Centre. There are 44 one bedroom apartments in a single, five storey block, and all of them are furnished in a modern tropical style.
General Facilities
The facilities at the Valparaiso are actually a cut above what you'd generally expect from this sort of accommodation, and include an excellent cocktail bar, a large pool which is heated during the Winter months and, wait for it, a Jacuzzi. A generously sized sunbathing terrace is surrounded by sub-tropical gardens (sunbeds provided free of charge) and there's a massive rooftop terrace with fantastic panoramic views across the town to the mountains and the sea.
A full reception service is available at the Valparaiso – including a bureau de change – and, if you're worried about wearing out your tired little legs, there are a couple of lifts as well.
Room facilities
Every apartment at the Valparaiso has a twin bedroom. Actually, that's not quite true: there are a handful of apartments equipped with double beds but these are few and far between and available on request to early-bookers only. The bright and comfortable sitting room has a sofabed if there are three of you and you're too tight to stretch to a two bedroom apartment, and your recently modernised kitchenette has all the things you'd expect like a fridge-freezer, a toaster, a ceramic hob and a coffee machine.
Naturally, each pleasantly decorated apartment has its own bathroom and, while you might not be able to tell from the pics just over there, your balcony (or terrace, if you’re on the ground floor) is actually rather bigger than average. Mind you, that's what all the boys say.
An army of dedicated Mrs Mops clean your apartment five times a week, they'll change your bedlinen one and supply a new set of towels twice.
